WATERPROOFING COATING FOR ROOFS, TERRACES & BALCONIES
Impermeable E-88 is a coating formulated on water-based, plasticised resins which provides maximum waterproofing, weather resistance and excellent elasticity. The coating withstands great temperature variations, without losing its waterproofing or resistance properties.

HOW TO USE
Fields of Application:
As waterproofing for roofs, balconies, terraces, joints between roofs and vertical walls, flat roofs, waterways, façades, fibre cement roofs, etc. It should not be applied on surfaces which are to be in permanent contact with water or for water proofing which are to be paved on top.
Surfaces Conditioning:
Surfaces must be dry and free from grease, oil, dust or any other pollutant. Surfaces with no roughness or porosity need to be mechanically or chemically roughened with our DESCA-2F, rinsing with plenty of water in order to remove all product traces.
Special Recommendations:
It’s not recommended its application in the following conditions:
- If rain is expected before the product is completely dry.
- If there is risk of frost within 12 hours of applying the product.
- If temperature is below 12 ºC.
- If relative humidity is above 80%.
When weather conditions are critical, but not reaching the levels mentioned above:
- Use during time of the day when the temperature is the highest.
- Apply thinner coats.
- Increase recoating intervals to 24 or 48 hours in order to ensure previous coats are dry.
Method of Use:
Before using the product it’s recommended to stir the containers. Once the surface is conditioned, apply the first coat of IMPERMEABLE E-88 diluted with 10% water and spread covering the whole area.
Apply the second coat after 8 hours, non-diluted, trying to leave a greater thickness. The same intervals should be allowed between all following coats. Where there are cracks it is recommended to also apply TELA DE ARMAR, made of glass fibre, in a width of about 15-20 cm. When the first coat is still wet, apply the fabric pressing with a roller in order to soak it in IMPERMEABLE E-88.
In joints between floor and wall, E-88 should be painted on the vertical to about 25 cm. If you wish to place TELA DE ARMAR on the whole surface to be waterproofed, it should be applied after the first coat, when still wet, pressing with a roller in order to soak the fabric. In joints between wall and floor, the fabric should go on the vertical, about 25 cm, just like the E-88.
In order to ensure a perfect waterproofing, it’s recommended to apply 2kg per M2 in several coats, using different colours in order to check there are no uncoated areas.
Storage:
The product must be stored in tightly closed containers, and protected from frost. The storage life in these conditions is 1 year.
